Easy Minced Beef Filling
This Easy Minced Beef Filling is simple, savoury and cooked in one pan. Minced beef is browned with softened onion, seasoned with seasoned salt, garlic powder, paprika and a pinch of togarashi, then cooked with sliced red and green bell peppers. A spoonful of teriyaki sauce goes in when the beef is almost ready, and fresh coriander is stirred through at the end for flavour and colour. It's a handy filling to have in your repertoire.

Ingredients
- 500g minced beef
- 1 medium onion
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- 1/2 green bell pepper
- Olive oil, for sautéing
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Pinch of togarashi
- 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce
- Fresh coriander, for finishing
Method
- 01
Prepare the vegetables: slice the onion, then slice the red and green bell peppers.
- 02
Soften the onion: add olive oil to a pan and sauté the onion until softened.

- 03
Add the minced beef: add the 500g minced beef to the softened onion. Break the beef apart as it browns so that it cooks as loose pieces rather than staying in large clumps.
- 04
Season the beef: add 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon paprika and a pinch of togarashi. Mix the seasonings through the beef and let the seasoned meat cook for about 2 minutes.

- 05
Add the bell peppers: add the sliced red and green bell peppers and continue cooking for roughly 7 minutes so the peppers have time to soften.
- 06
Add the teriyaki sauce: when the meat is almost ready, add 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce and mix it thoroughly through the beef and vegetables.
- 07
Finish with coriander: at the end, mix fresh coriander through the cooked beef filling for flavour and colour. Serve or use the filling as needed.
The whole cook takes about 20 minutes. The 2 minutes after seasoning and the roughly 7 minutes with the peppers are stages within that time.

Lackie's Notes
I add the teriyaki sauce when the beef is almost ready, so it mixes through the meat and peppers at the end, then finish with fresh coriander for a bit of freshness and colour.
